What is the qualification for participating?

| 3. | Every participant must register for the contest. The registration fee is N2,500 while late registration is N3,500.00. |
What are the benefits of participating?
| 1. | You have the potential of being the winner of FasteCash Blogging Contest cash prizes of N50,000.00, N30,000.00 or N10,000.00. There will also be some other consolation prizes that will be given out to participants. |
| 2. | You will have free and great traffic to your web blog through the FasteCash Blogging Contest site that will be developed and advertised. Your web blog link will be placed on this site and this may cause more people to visit your blog. This benefit alone is more than any amount you are paying for the contest registration. |
| 3. | Your site will be seen and visited by several other FasteCash account users and voters that may like to vote for your blog. So, if your web blog is positioned to make money, I guess you may have some good luck. |
| 4. | The contest may turn your blog to a great resources site to be recognised by several visitors who keep visiting your blog even after the contest. |
| 5. | The blog may turn you to a national authority base on your blogging topic such that people may look up to you as an expert or consultant in the area. |
What type of article am I expected to post on my blog?
You can post any type of article of your choice but it must cover a specific area or topic, like business, relationship, politics, society, youth etc. This should be based on the topic you can conveniently blog about. You can post video, audio or pictures to further express your message.
Can I continue to use my blog after the contest?
Why not? It is your web blog forever. Every benefit you derive from it during the contest is 100% yours.
How will the winners be determined?
The winners will be determined by voting. FasteCash users and your blog visitors will vote for you through the FasteCash Blogging Contest website.
You will have a link that you can always attach to the base of your article, asking people to vote for your blog.
Voters will be in two categories, the general visitors and FasteCash account users. Every vote from any of the two categories counts. The only different is that FasteCash users that vote for you will have opportunity to win gifts for participating in the voting program.
What are the rules of the contest?
| 1. | You cannot use free blogging site for the contest. |
| 2. | The domain you are using must be yours. You can use your root domain to create the blog or you can create another directory like www.yourdomainname.com/blog. |
| 3. | The contest begins from 19th December, 2008. This means that the first post on your site must not start earlier than 19th December, 2008. Early date post will disqualify your blogging site from the contest. |
| 4. | You can not start posting before registering for this contest. You can start posting immediately you register for the contest any time from 19th December, 2008. |
| 5. | You must register for the contest not later than 31st January, 2008. |
| 6. | You must start blogging not later than 1st February, 2008. |
| 7. | Voting by FasteCash users and others starts from 1st February till 31st March 2009. |
| 8. | You can ask people to vote for you but you cannot vote for yourself. Any double dealing to vote for yourself or asking people to do multiple voting for you will out rightly disqualify you. |
| 9. | We will track all IP addresses and any multiple votes that is coming from the same IP address or a specific IP address will be disqualified. |
Please note that we have the right to change or add other rules to this list. We shall create a website for this and you will be expected to check for the rules of the game regular for any change or addition.
Is there anything I can do to influence my winning?
You can advertise your blog so that many people can visit your site and vote for you. But we will distaste you influencing people sincere votes. Let them rate you base on their genuine decision so that it will help you to improve your web blog.
Will it be possible for me to see my rating?
We will create a way for you to view your total in comparison with other contestants, so that it can motivates you to improve your blog.
How will the voting be conducted?
Voting will be in two ways. Visitors that visit your site can click a link that will take them to FasteCash Blogging Contest (FBC) site and vote base on the consideration elements of your website.
Visitors to FBC site can also decide to vote for you from the site.
Here are 5 consideration elements that people will check out to vote for your blog.
| 1. | The design and development of your blog. (The template, theme, design, plugin etc will be considered by voters.) |
| 2. | The creativity you injected into the blog (What makes your blog unique from other will be evident through the creativity you injected into the blog) |
| 3. | The contents of your blog. (How consistent is the blog topic? Are you posting quality contents? What is the originality of the content? Are the contents other persons' materials or your original work? Though you can refer to other works, but your posting must have it's originality. ) |
| 4. | How often you update the blog |
| 5. | Monetization of the blog. (This is the strategies you have implemented to make money with the site like Google AdSense) |
There will be number rank from 0 to 10 for each consideration element. The rank 0 mean poor while 10 is excellent. So, the higher the value a voter chose for you the better your mark.
Your marks for the 2 month voting period will be added together base on different consideration elements. The person with the highest grand total will win the N50,000.00 prize. This will be followed be the remaining two runner ups.
What are the rules for voting?
| 1. | A voter can vote for several contesters per day, but he must not vote for one contester twice on the same day. Double voting for a single contester in a single day will not be allowed. |
| 2. | Voter can vote anonymously or be a FasteCash account users. |
| 3. | A FasteCash users must vote with his or her username to be qualified for Voters Bonanza Draw (VBD) at the end of the competition. |
| 4. | Anonymous voters will not be entered for VBD, but their voting will be recognised for determining the winners. |
| 5. | Voters can vote every day for the 2 months voting period. This is to ensure that a blogger that keeps improving get the approval and better ranking of his or her visitors. |
| 6. | An anonymous voter can only vote once in a day for several bloggers. If other people use the same computer with the voter, their voting will be disallowed. The only way out for other voter is to register for FasteCash free account so that they can vote uniquely with their FasteCash username. |
| 7. | Voters will be entered for VBD base on the number of votes they posted during the voting period. |
| 8. | There will be different prizes for voters which may include cash, t-shirts, free domain name and hosting, books etc. |
| 9. | A voter can also be a blogger that is participating in the competition, but must not vote for himself or herself. |
