It has been another exciting time organising the second edition of FasteCash Blogging Contest, FBC II and I must tell you that the second edition was far better that the first one.
About 41 bloggers contested for the first, second and third positions in the competition and that is quite a number compared to FBC I where we have only 17 approved contestants.
This time around, we have more experienced bloggers and the struggle for the top positions was tougher than what we had before.
The competition started in July and ended on September 7th, 2009 with voters determining the winners of the contest by their votes. We are therefore happy to officially announce to all our users, FBC sites visitors, voters and commentators that Akinloye Adewole with the FasteCash username: wolexfeelcool, the administrator/owner of www.athoughttoshare.com is the winner of FBC II with total votes of 59112 and 155 comments while Lee Edward with FasteCash username: jetlee, the administrator/owner of http://www.gsuccess.org took the second position with 52848 votes with 57 comments and Olowole Jetro with the FasteCash username: jestico4real and the administrator/owner of http://www.NigeriaUniversitiesUpdates.com came third with 49481 with 200 comments.
So, with this, Akinloye Adewole won our highest cash prize of N50,000.00 while Lee Edward and Jetro got N30,000.00 and N10,000.00 respectively. The presentation of the cash prizes and FBC II contestants certificates have been slated for 24th September, 2009. That is the first day of the conference organised by Success Attitude Development Centre (SADC) to mark the 14th Anniversary of the NGO. The anniversary celebration is a special three days conference with powerful entrepreneurial lectures and several varieties like launching of Successful Entrepreneurs’ Club (SEC) and Association of Information Marketers of Nigeria (AIMN), quiz competition, election of SEC units leaders, music, drama and dance.
The programme is going to be an exciting one, so we have sneaked in the FBC II winners’ prizes and contestants certificates presentation on the first day of the conference. This, we believe, will give limelight to all our contestants. All other 37 participating contestants are also expected to be around for their certificates. Though they are not being rewarded with cash prizes but their impact to make FBC II a success cannot be undermined, so they will be around to share the spotlight too.
There will also be gift for all our voters that are present on the same day. We want to appreciate them because they are the determining agents for this contest.
On behalf of FBC II Team, I want to specially appreciate those people that have contributed immensely to the overall success of this competition. The first person on my list is Mr. Solomon Bernard, he did a good job with his section of Daily Buzz. He was one of the FBC I contestants and when we asked him to join the FBC II team he accepted. Thanks so much for the good job.
The next person is my good friend Fisayo Akinolu, an internet marketer of note and the CEO of Hulk Innovation Ltd, who supported this project with N10,000. Also, Pastor Gbolagoke, a friend and our dear financial consultant supported us too with the sum of N10,000.00. Thank you very much for your kind gestures.
We also enjoyed the support of Bola Oni, the administrator and owner of Naijamotivation.com who gave us 3 of his newly published book, “The Lessons of Life” to be given to the 3 winners of FBC II.
We want to appreciate the management of our sister organisation, SADC for the publicity given to FBC II through Success Digest Extra and to the entire FasteCash Team who worked at the background to make the second edition of FBC a successful one, I will like to say more grease to your elbow.
Till we meet to celebrate our new bloggers stars on 24th September, 2008 at SADC 14th Anniversary Conference, keep on shinning!
