Charles, I get where Adewole is coming from: Long before you get the opportunity to start building a relationship based on friendship and to offer a helping hand that will usher in the love, you still have the HUGE task of convincing the object of your desire to select you in favour of all the dozens of other guys with the same objective. This is where the art of 'seduction' comes in.


The word 'seduction' may connote a kind of manipulation( I prefer 'to attract' or 'attraction'), but its not necessarily a bad thing. No matter how you present your self to her initially, you are still an unknown equation. So you may be a great guy, but, hey!, she doesn't know that. So any reasonable means to get her to notice you above other 'noises', my brother go for it. You can always prove to her what a great guy you are later on, but you have to be allowed in first. So seduction( or rather attraction) is a 'necessary evil' in this relationship 'game'.

I closely monitor your voting method and discover some dirty game. When your voting score is increasing , other blog closer to you will be decreasing. Why? The site is too monopolistic. The blogmaster do not refer to other authority in relevant field. He was trying to wear all the cap in all the field. Since some of the field are professional I think he should quote some expert as source of his information. The design, well he used too much of foreign people in the pictures. Oh, come on man, quit complaining. Be a good sports man. The guy is just expressing the marks he thinks your blog is worth to him. Besides I never hear you complain when some other guys give you an all maximum marks.


I guess you enjoy comments that praises your blog. But beware of such comments. Most are probably from friends and close associates. They are not necessarily telling you the truth, with the danger that you will be lulled to complacency.


Your best bet are the critical comments (even if they come with negative marks) for they are the once you can truely benefit from. They point you to your deficiencies and hence encourages you to continue to improve and perhaps win such skeptics to your side and hence a more favorable marks next time.


In my own objective opinion, your blog is not the best in the contest, based on the criteria for voting (design, creativity, content, update and monetisation) but I cant deny the fact you are on top. That's my opinion any way. So I think you still have a lot of room for improvement.


So quit complaining for no reason. After all you are on top. Enjoy your stay there while it lasts, the ending is still far. Besides some other blog are close to your heal. A lot of them are eager to step on your shoes right now.
